My DNA test shows the paternal line as the I1 haplotype. This agrees with my research. I wouldbe very interested in other test results of males who have one of the name variants listed in the main article here.
The origin in the Balkans and North migrations seem very reasonable.
There is a facebook site dedicated to this haplotype also. i would appreciate any input!

correction of your info on Serbian migrations: Serbs who migrated were not Christian Catholic, thy were Eastern Orthodox and members of the Serbian Orthodox Church. One of the key points negotiated with Austrian emperor that enabled the Great Migration of Serbs in 1690 was the freedom to keep and practice their Eastern Orthodox faith ( which was in the Catholic empire persecuted, illegal and labelled *schismatic*) . greetings, yugaya Rodoslovlje Serbian Genealogy Society
